  1. Chest Measurement: Begin by placing the tape measure just under the armholes. Measure straight across from one side seam to the other.

  2. Waist Measurement: Identify the narrowest part of your waist for this measurement. Hold the tape measure flat and measure directly from one side to the other at your waistline.

  3. Hip Measurement: For the hip measurement, position the tape about 7–9 inches below your natural waistline. Measure from one side to the other across the fullest part of your hips.

  4. Dress Flare Measurement: This determines the width of your dress at its bottom. Measure the flare at the hem to understand the fullness of the dress.

  5. Strap to Hem Length: Measure the length from the top of the strap straight down to the bottom of the hem.

  6. Waist to Hem Length: Measure from the top of the waistband straight down to the bottom edge of the hem.

 

  1. Chest Measurement: Stand up straight, arms relaxed at your sides. Measure around the fullest part of your chest, ensuring the tape is snug under the armpits and across the shoulder blades.

  2. Waist Measurement: Stand straight and relaxed. Wrap the tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist, typically at the level of your belly button.

  3. Hip Measurement: Stand with your feet together. Measure around the widest part of your hips and rear, usually found halfway between your crotch and belly button.
