Full-grain cowhide retains all the natural characteristics of the hide — including growth marks, blood vessel traces, insect bite marks, texture variation and minor surface scratches. These are not defects; they are proof that your bag is made from real, uncoated leather and not bonded or PU. As with all genuine leather, the bag will absorb liquids — avoid prolonged exposure to water, soy sauce or dye. A natural leather scent is present when new and will fade with airing. Condition with leather balm regularly; do not machine wash.
