The harness connects at the back in a reinforced **X-cross configuration** with solid brass rivets and square buckles to prevent warping over time. Two heavy-duty antique swivel snap hooks clip the vest panels to the harness so the whole rig can be put on, taken off, or detached for cleaning in seconds.
